The brief
Trauma Ink is a concept for a tattoo studio that travels, paired with a documentary series, for people who want to turn what happened to them into something they chose. The site had to explain a sensitive idea without exploiting anyone's story, and invite people in before the studio exists.
What we built
A statically exported Next.js site with a strong, restrained visual language: condensed display type, a warm paper tone against near-black, and a single road photograph that runs through the pages. The idea page grounds the project in sourced statistics, and the process is laid out step by step, with consent as a step of its own and filming kept to what each participant is comfortable with.
Where it stands
The project is early, and the site says so. It is a demo today, built so the real thing can launch on it.
